Disable remove operation

In the complex inline form config, there are options to disable edit and add operations for a node reference. But how do we prevent the remove operation?

I've just realised that I misunderstood how the module works. It's actually possible to disable the remove operation. However, the "operations" column is displayed even when there are no operations available.

What's the recommended way to hide the operations column when there are no operations available?
