Focal point preview fix no longer works

Problem/Motivation

It seems that the fix applied in 🐛 Focal point preview link accidentally closes the media edit form Fixed seems to no longer work. The preview link opens a new page, but within it is the ajax response in a text area.

This is on a entity reference field, set to image media, configured with focal point widget. it looks like the media_library_media_modify_form_media_form_alter() never gets called. I imspected the form ID of the override form and it looks like it is now calledoverride-entity-form. I am not sure if this is the reason why.

I am on Drupal 9.5.10.
