I have did some changes to make this compatible with Drupal 10,
It works fine, please review it

Thanks for providing this. I think that will work great as a short term solution to be able to move to Drupal 10, but ideally I would like to be able to provide an official release for this module that addresses the extension of internal Drupal Core classes.
