Add automated tests

Problem/Motivation

IMHO, the module has most of its base features now. It might be stable enough to write automated tests in order to ensure everything is working as expected "now" and in the future.

Proposed resolution

Start to write the tests, starting by listing what should be tested and using "markTestIncomplete".
