@uberhacker, It should be possible, but not with Commerce Migrate. This module is designed for getting data from Drupal 6 and Drupal 7 databases which are quite different than Drupal 8+.
I think there are two possibilities, one is to use the Migrate API and the other is to use Feeds. I am not familiar with Feeds so I can't offer anything further on that. For migrate, this would be a custom migration. There is also source plugin in Drupal core for getting Drupal 8+ content entities, ContentEntity. And the contrib module, Migrate Source D8 → is also available, which will help.
I strongly suggest joining Drupal Slack and asking in #migration. There are plenty of people there to assist.
I am also curious to know if there is high demand for this.
