Image thumbnails not showing in add/edit media gallery

Problem/Motivation

The media selected in the add/edit media gallery form do not display the media thumbnails. The selected media are nevertheless correctly displayed when viewing the gallery.

Steps to reproduce

Add Media Gallery, enter Title, select media and return to the entry form. No images are displayed (see screen shot attached). However the media are selected and the media gallery is correctly created (see screen shot attached).

    Hi! This is not media gallery problem. There are 2 problems with drupal styles

    1. Wrong web-server config. If you using nginx, check you site config. Drupal 10 sites needs some important changes. If you use apache 2 check site config and .htaccess
    2. Wrong permissions. Check sites/default/files/styles permissions on your server

    Many thanks for the response.

    The same issue arises in Olivero and also when the styles folder permissions are opened up. I'll continue to see if I can locate the cause of this issue.

    The problem was indeed a user error.

    The Media Type>Image>Manage Display>Default had the image field disabled. Duh...
