Alot of designs have sections with different background colors. Currently we control the background color of a section with a class and control the text color and such in each component by using that bg color as a marker. I propose we create some configurable scss or process for creating a .surface--{name}. This class would control all of these things from the wrapper. They would be nest-able. It would keep you from having to control colors of text and buttons at least in each component. I would like to utilize scss and css variables to come up with an updated solution that i already have been using on other projects.
