Takedown request from EU

Problem/Motivation

Dear [maintainer],
The European Commission has recently noticed https://www.drupal.org/project/eu_webtools_sliding_captcha .
Apparently you have developed a publicly available Drupal module that implements the EU Webtools Sliding Captcha. Thanks for liking it! Indeed it’s an easy-to-use, secure yet fully accessible antispam protection for forms.
However, this service is intended to be used on europa.eu and its subdomains only. It seems this was already known by you. Indeed you advise to change/by-pass the referrer to “europa.eu” when implemented on non-europa.eu domains.
While we encourage our team members to publish generic components in Drupal.org https://www.drupal.org/european-commission#projects-supported , this is not true for components that are only for the EU institutions. The latters are often published in https://github.com/openeuropa repository.
For the reasons mentioned above we would kindly request you to remove this module from your portfolio in the https://www.drupal.org/ web site.
Kind regards,
Massimiliano MOLINARI

Remaining tasks

Generally speaking, Drupal.org administrators do not unpublish projects, especially if they have any releases or usage reported. However, in this case, this is an internal component not intended to be reshared. While they haven't issued a more formal legal request yet, it's clear there is a legal issue at stake here.
