module crash after update to 2.1.1

Problem/Motivation

on D10 the module update from version 2.0.6 to version 2.1.1 makes the module unusable forcing me to uninstall it, reinstall it and recreate all the views that used it. the reason is because the calendar_month is introduced which replaces the previous plugin calandar.

I find it incredible that an update doesn't foresee such a situation and forces me to redo all the views.

    Thank you for reporting this issue.

    There is a warning on the release page explaining this very breaking change. It may be not very visible though, sorry about that.

    Also, the old calendar plugin is still here, just marked as deprecated so your Views should not crash, they should just be empty.

    Can you confirm this behavior? Or was your whole pages in error ?

    Also, this module is very young and i have few availabilities to maintain and upgrade it. It was a deliberate choice to make this breaking change in 2.1.x because the sooner the better for the future or the code - and there was very few projects using 2.0.x at that time.

    Not much help given, sorry, but you at least have more context.
