Agreed, the project could use some attention. Can I suggest you'll get the best results if you follow the protocol at How to become project owner, maintainer, or co-maintainer → — e.g. change the title and summary a bit, contact the current owner, list steps taken, etc.

It is exactly, what I am doing here. I need first create a request here and the I can apply for a transfer.

To avoid request for ownership transfers from being delayed, step 2 and 3 in How to become project owner, maintainer, or co-maintainer → tells you

use the Contact tab on the owner profile page to contact the project owner, asking to post a comment on the issue you posted

and

report in the issue summary the users who have been contacted for the offer and how.

You haven't done this, so this is can not be expedited right away.

2) I have tried to contact the maintainer using all possible for me ways. Yes, I sent a message to him using the contact form already. Unfortunately, with no reply.
