Creating a Google Analytics 4 supported version for version 7 of the Google Analytics Reports module

Universal analytics is going away July 1, 2023. Is there plans or interest in adding Google Analytics 4 to the Drupal 7 version of the module?

I see that is would be a rewrite like in the 4.x release of the module but still wanted to ask the community.

I am planning to work on this in the coming months. I think though it should probably go into a new 7.x-4.x-dev branch instead of into the 7.x-3.x-dev just like the 4.0.x-dev branch.
First commit to issue fork.
