Batched export not available for MariaDB ?

I think it does work with MariaDB. We use the 7.x branch with MariaDB.

I'm on D10 and MariaDB, and there's no batched export as far as I can tell. I wonder why this restriction exists

Yeah, apologies that the project page is so out of date, I'm working on that.

At the time the batched export in Drupal 7 was using some MySQL magic to work, and that magic isn't in 8.x-1.x so you'll be fine with MariaDB.
