- Issue created by @kwfinken
Our site (https://mainweb9.lib.msu.edu) is moderately large, currently having about 600 active pages, expected to grow to 1500 in the coming weeks. It is running on a rather beefy standalone server. With linkchecker enabled, the db server ends up locking up with errors about being unable to get locks on the linkchecker_link and linkchecker_index tables. This completely crashes the site.
We have been forced to remove this module from our site, because it is unusable. It seems that something in the module is holding db locks too long, but we do not have the time or capacity to investigate further.
Possibly related to D7 issue: https://www.drupal.org/project/linkchecker/issues/2601288 β ?
Have a large site, with many content types and field enabled for link checking. Let it run for a couple weeks and it WILL lock up.
