Smartdate on Drupal10 - errors displayed on console

Passing this along for your awareness.

Vanilla installation of D10. Just installed Calendar View and added a Smartdate filed to a content type to test. Tried editing a node and got these errors on the edit page. See attached pic.

    Based on the errors it seems as though you never set any default values for the field, which would limit its usefulness. That said, the code should be able to handle this use case without PHP errors. Here's a patch that should resolve the errors.

    If I'm wrong about the defaults, please provide more detailed steps to reproduce.

    I tried reproducing this on my own fresh install of Drupal 10.1 and was unable to reproduce the errors reported, even with the Calendar View module installed. If there are errors that need to be resolved, I will need more detailed steps to reproduce them.
