Do not override the theme's messages styles

Problem/Motivation

I thought this module would float the Drupal messages and make them disappear automatically (as described in the module page), instead I receive a custom, old, D7-similar styling (custom colors, borders, padding, background images) that override my theme. Please make that an optional.
