Why is composer require goalgorilla/open_social:~11.0.0 used for a site that seems to be already using this distribution? composer require is not used to update.

Is the site running on Drupal 9 or Drupal 10? If the site runs on Drupal 10, you should use at least the 11.11.x version of this distribution, which is the first one to be defined compatible with Drupal 10.
