New experimental modules

Single Directory Components

This module allows themes and modules to create “components” consisting of a directory containing a Twig template, YML metadata, and optional JavaScript and CSS files. The JavaScript and CSS are automatically loaded when the component is used. For more information, see Using Single Directory Components → .

  • Moving to SDC is crucial and it is the right move
  • SDC components was built to work independent of Drupal and only to use with selected templates

Proposed resolution

Components can be a basic Drupal SDC component ( atoms, molecules, basic organisms, basic templates, and basic pages ).
Complex organisms, templates, and pages could work with svelte, react, vue, next, gatsby, lit.
