Problem/Motivation

ECA: Event - Condition - Action ( https://www.drupal.org/project/eca → ) will be a foundational module for Drupal moving forward with RULES-like functionality. Powerful, flexible, etc... and it will only become more important in the Drupal ecosystem as time goes on.

My point? Notifications Widget integrating with ECA would offer endless possibilities for custom notifications with the ECA UI instead of needing to write custom code. And these possibilities would grow with the ongoing expansion of ECA.

Figured it was worth creating an issue to explore this possibility.

    I agree, ECA is very powerful, well documented, with nice ui and maintainers.
    Talking about maintainers, they also created a module that is similar to this one, DANSE → .. I wonder what are the differences and which one I should support.
