I've enabled the release again, but yes it was intentional. It is unsupported.

Thank you for fixing it so quickly.
I understand that nobody in the current team has an interest in continuing to support the Drupal 7 version, and want to focus their energies on the Drupal 9/10 version. That's understandable.
May I suggest two things:
- Put a notice on the project page, where you outline the true situation with the Drupal 7 branch. It will give those currently using it a heads-up and also give them some time to consider their options.
- Open up for taking on a new co-maintainer specifically to maintain the Drupal 7 branch.
PS: I don't think Drupal 7 is going EOL any time soon. Roughly half of the installed Drupal sites β is still using it. I.e.: There is a huge user base out there. Symfony-based Drupal is not everyone's cup of tea. The DA is not going to abandon that market share overnight.
