I moved this to the feature request branch for Drupal Core. But that said, did you intend to open this feature request for the AudioField module?
I am working with the AudioField module to add the audio upload feature.
When you allow the extension "FLAC" and "AAC" then after uploading these audio files it will not be available with HTML 5 player.
It should work in the same way as it renders with MP3 files.
We can allow these two formats to play with HTML 5
