Drupal 9 & Views - Making a Calendar

Created on 18 April 2023, over 1 year ago

I am using Drupal 9.4.2 and created a Calendar using Views. The thing I noticed is that is is not showing the Month at the top of the Calendar. So there is no way for the user to know what Month they are currently viewing.

I looked around in the settings but I don't see a way to have that display. What am I missing? Seems like a basic feature that should automatically be there.

Adding screenshots to show what it looks like and how the View is setup.

    Something like this? https://www.drupal.org/project/calendar_view β†’

If your are using something else and that isn't working, please provide some more context.

I am really only using Views, Datetime, Calendar Datetime. I tried Calendar View and didn't like it much. The only issue I am really having with just using those modules is that the Month does not show up above the Calendar which seems like a basic thing. I feel like I am missing something really simple. Everything else is working fine with it. I am attaching another screen shot to this response and you can see Events are showing up just fine. This is for the month of March but you can't tell that you are looking at the Month of March easily since it is not showing up above the actual Calendar.

  • @ryanfc78 This is the Drupal Core issue queue. We are asking these question so as to find out where to move this issue for you to get support. I think this will be the Calendar module according to what you said so I am moving the issue there.

  • The Global: Calendar Header (Global: Calendar Header) is responsible for displaying that. It's in the Header section. I'm not sure how yours is configured, but see my attachment to see an example of one that works.

Thanks @ramil g I think that answers the question.

I recommend 1.x branch instead of the 2.x branch because we are giving it more attention as it's a closer port to D7.
