Problem/Motivation
There is a class .note-version which has been built into the drupal.org CSS. Its CSS properties apply a cross-hatch background from the file /sites/all/themes/bluecheese/images/bg-white-blueprint.png.
While it is technically WCAG 2.0 AA compliant for contrast, it is distracting for me and presents a cognitive load when trying to comprehend the content that is being conveyed by the text within the cross-hatch.
Please either remove that style from the website or else provide a preference in my profile to not show the cross-hatch. I'd prefer to see the style removed, as that has the lowest barriers for all website visitors to achieve.
I recognize that I can override that style in my personal style sheet (and will likely do so until this issue is resolved); however, there does seem to be a movement in browsers away from support of personal style sheets, so I cannot be sure that this workaround is durable. And that said, I am seeking a solution which would work for all website visitors with this particular cognitive issue, not just for myself or for those with the requisite technical skills.
Steps to reproduce
1. Go to the
Event - Condition - Action (ECA) project β
Expected result: No text has a pattern in its background. I can focus on the content.
Actual result: The sections "Invitation to online ECA meetings", "ECA Guide", and "Documentation" have a cross-hatch background. I have to filter out the background mentally, which distracts from my comprehension of the content.
Proposed resolution
Remove the background image from the .note-version CSS class.
