Problem/Motivation

Developers and organizations need help getting started with customizing the Schema.org Blueprints module to meet their business requirements,

Proposed resolution

The Schema.org Blueprint Demo module makes it easy for developers and organizations to demo an ideal starting point for building Schema.org types and properties. Developers and organizations need to ability to enhance and customize the demo.

Conceptual, developers and organizations can copy dependencies and configuration from the demo to set up their 'startertkit' module.

Provide a Schema.org Blueprint Demo Custom module that acts like a starterkit.

Notes

  • Ideally, this module should only alter configuration and settings, and this will make it easier to use most default configurations and settings.

Goals

  • Provide a reusable starting point that be iteratively rebuilt.
  • Document the best way to rewrite/override default configuration and settings.
  • Document the best way to implement hooks to rewrite/override generated configuration.

Configuration patterns

  • Override schemadotorg.* config YAML files
  • Add custom mapping sets
  • Add custom taxonomies
  • Alter field groups.
  • Alter field weights.
  • Alter Schema.org descriptions
  • Alter Schema.org type settings
  • Alter Schema.org property settings
  • Via hook_install setup mapping sets.
  • Via hook_install generate content.
  • Alter a node's default form display.
  • Alter a node's default view display.
