Factor out dependency on Chaos Tools

Problem/Motivation

The View Mode Page module now depends on the Chaos Tools module. This is a quite a big module that adds way more code (and thus potential points of failure) then necessary for View Mode Pages to work. As far as I can see currently only one line of code in View Mode Page uses Chaos Tools. It seems that we only depend on one single method of a service provided by Chaos Tools. It would be nice if we can factor out the dependency on Chaos Tools.
