With Custom Formatters not working in Drupal 10 (and no indication that it ever will), this module is a life-saver. I applied the patch manually and it looks like it's working perfectly. Nice job.
I'd ask (for others) that there be a patched version available that can be installed directly via composer, instead of the module needing to be patched manually.
