I don't know how to use it

In short, documentation is rather outdated due to the simple sitemap version we needed to support (which had a total rebuild from the ground up). Tab names have changed. But you should be able to install this module and go to the various locations, add the node types to specific sitemaps, etc. Contibuting the documentation would really help us.
