Problem/Motivation

Plugin incompatible error when using Composer 2.5.5

I am using Composer 2 with PHP version: 8.2.0, and some of my plugins seem to be incompatible with Composer 2.

System Details:
OS: Windows 10
webserver: Apache/2.4.54 (Win64)
PHP version: 8.2.0
Composer version: 2.5.5
Drupal version: 10.0.7

Issue: When running an update using Composer 2.0 the following error occurs:

PHP Fatal error: Declaration of Drupal\Console\Composer\Plugin\Installer::getLocationPattern($frameworkType) must be compatible with Composer\Installers\Installer::getLocationPattern(string $frameworkType): string in C:\Users\Kiran\AppData\Roaming\Composer\vendor\drupal\console-extend-plugin\src\Installer.php on line 48

Steps to reproduce

1)Install PHP 8.2.0
2)Install Composer 2.5.5
3)install Drupal 10.0.7 using the composer
4)Run update composer or install a new module
