The override of specific fields in address (to Required) does not work.
I add an address as field to a bundle, I use default settings.
I edit a node with that address field, when I take Belgium as country I see fields address line 1, postal code, locality.
Then I switch to country Aruba, and I only see address line 1 and locality.
For my functionality I always need address line 1, postal code, and locality, for any country. In the edit form of the address field in the "Field overrides" section I set address line 1, postal code, and locality to "Required". I was expecting those 3 fields to always appear then regardless of country. This override functionality is not working.
Overrides only apply to visible fields. You need to subscribe to the AddressFormatEvent to make a field always visible. Docs at: https://docs.drupalcommerce.org/commerce2/developer-guide/customers/addr...
I don't know if that qualifies as a bug, I'l let the other maintainers decide.
#2 does the trick to make some address fields always visible. Closing this issue.
