Multiple PDF pages = Multiple images?

Problem/Motivation

In Drupal 7 we used https://www.drupal.org/project/pdf_to_imagefield → which converted multiple PDF pages into multiple image files. Does this module also provide this functionality?

Perhaps this module might be a good starting point as a Drupal 8+ alternative for https://www.drupal.org/project/pdf_to_imagefield → ?

    I don't think this module would be able to replace that. This module is very simple and just populates an image field with the first page of the PDF.
