Support the Multiple Selects module

Problem/Motivation

We would like the SAM module to simplify the Multiple Selects → widget.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable the Multiple Selects module and choose it as the widget on a list_string field.
  2. Implement hook_sam_allowed_widget_types_alter() and add the multiple_options_select widget.
  3. Clear caches
  4. See that the SAM form modifications are not taking effect.

Proposed resolution

It might have something to do with the third party settings... When you click the gear icon to open the widget settings form, the SAM setting shows up. If you check the box to "skip SAM", click "Update", and then reopen the form, the checkbox setting is gone. If you close and reopen the widget form again, the checkbox is back, but remains unchecked. I realize that "skipping SAM" is not the behavior I'm after, but I just found it curious. I'm also not sure if this is particular to the Multiple Selects module or not.
