I have mixed feelings about this one. I'm the kind of snob that believes that things like mobile, tablet, and desktop aren't all that helpful in our world of infinite screen sizes and we should instead be targeting breakpoints that make sense for the site or application. But I also understand that easily representing this in the UI is still a desirable feature for most.
That said, if we do other things right (indicate that the preview can be resized, provide a good experience for breaking the preview out into a new tab) it will be possible to achieve the same result using those features.
As a result, this feels like a post-MVP thing to me.

Agreed on being a post-MVP thing. It sounds like something we could attempt for the 1.x cycle though ( or Stage 1 📌 Plan a 1.0.x Release Fixed ).
