UX is _very_ confusing

Problem/Motivation

I hesitate to use this module because of the very confusing UX. If I go to the initial bulk upload form it asks me for a some field data for the media entities (which probably includes the title). That is already confusing UX. If I put something in those fields, then the result is that I have 20 media entities with identical field data (except for the actual file). I'm having trouble imagining a scenario where this would be the desired outcome.

Proposed resolution

Only upload the files in the first step, then have one or more subsequent steps to add the field data. This is how plUpload β†’ module worked in D7.

Thanks for the report. Would you provide exact steps how you are using it? When I use dropzone and Drupal 9.5, it doesn't seem too confusing to me. If I understand the version and steps you are following, maybe I can propose a better way.

    Here's a screenshot of the out-of-the-box experience.

If the module were to only upload the files in the first step, then have one or more subsequent steps to add the field data, that would also solve the alt-text problem that ✨ Provide a way to add alt text when doing bulk upload Needs review tries to fix. It would also solve the more general use case of required fields on media items.
