Is the gtranslate.libraries.yml supposed to be empty?

@SocialNicheGuru i have also downloaded gtranslate module with composer and for me gtranslate.libraries.yml file is not empty .

@AditiVB, did you download 3.x or 1.x? It is 1.x but not 3.x

There are no dependencies to define in that file, so it is empty.

no just checking. it is odd to have an empty file. If you as the maintainer says it is ok, then it is fine.

that was totally it.

so the update from older versions doesn't quite work.

Uninstalling and reinstalling does.
