Status messages block not showing while BigPipe module enabled

Is this issue about this status messages block? This screenshot is from a site with BigPipe enabled.

Correct. Here's a second D 9.5.3 site I have with BigPipe enabled. I've just saved the block layout. There is no status message. If I disabled BigPipe, the status message would show.

Obviously it is happening on the site you have shown, so we need some steps to reproduce to determine the third element that causes the bug.

@Vacilando: which theme is that? Seems like the theme is somehow breaking this…

Olivero, but tried Seven as well - same behaviour.

In https://stackoverflow.com/questions/66011876/drupal-9-message-and-messag... they say something about outdated jQuery.js in the theme, but I don't see why that would be a problem in my sites since Olivero is a theme from Drupal core.

If I knew what to look for to help I would but at the moment I don't, plus my problem ( 🐛 No link to file download after batch finished Closed: works as designed ) is solved (albeit by switching off BigPipe).

Not sure how much useful info this adds, but I'm experiencing the same thing:

Everything works just fine locally, but in our shared dev and stage environments, an expected status message is not displayed if the user is logged in, but is not an administrator. Administrators get the status message.
Even when the message is not displayed, I can still see the text hidden inside a script tag as a JSON object where the text has been URL-encoded.

Uninstalling the Big Pipe module rescues the display.

Both the local (Mac) and the shared dev/stage (Acquia) are running Drupal 10.2.0 on PHP 8.2. This problem does not seem to be occurring in our production environment which is using Drupal 10.1.7 & PHP 8.1

Also seeing this issue in a custom theme when big pipe is enabled.
