Provide built-in support for entity base fields (e.g. label)

Problem/Motivation

Similar to ✨ Support node title field Active it would be super cool to have built-in support for entities base fields without having to code anything.

A good example is to filter a view by the entity label in a select. This isn't currently possible in Drupal with any existing contrib module.
