I recently needed to use location based searching through Elasticsearch for a project. I checked different solutions, and initially passed this module, since the documentation stated that only Apache Solr is supported. But it turns out the elasticsearch_connector module actually works with this module, at least as far as indexing goes.
For further support there was this patch → , which made it so that I could map the value to a geo_point data type.
I propose to update the documentation that there is at least partial support for Elasticsearch.
