The current version of the module is not compatible with Drupal 10, which is causing errors for users who have upgraded to this version of the platform. The module needs to be updated to work with Drupal 10 to provide a seamless user experience.
1. Install Drupal 9/10 on a local development environment.
2. Install and enable the module.
3. There will be an error message. (Unable to install modules: module 'editor_email_link' is incompatible with this version of Drupal core.
The proposed resolution is to update the module's code to work with the changes in the Drupal 10 platform. This will include updating any deprecated functions and making any necessary changes to the module's data model.
1. Update the module's code to work with Drupal 10.
2. Add some basic tests
3. Release the updated module to the Drupal community.
The module's user interface will not be changed as part of this update.
