Search bar shows no results in "Geolocation Leaflet - Geocoding and Map" formatter

Problem/Motivation

I updated to the 3.12 version of geolocation_field and since then the search results bar will not show any search results to choose from.

Steps to reproduce

I have a map field, formatted as "Geolocation Leaflet - Geocoding and Map" on the form display and and "Geolocation - Map" to display the content for the viewers.

When I create/edit a node the embedded map with search box appears, but when I type the name of a correct/existing city or street, the blue circle on the right side is turning around but no search results are shown in the dropdown.

No content blockers are active on the client side.
I tried different devices with different web browsers

When I view the the nodes with geolocation coordinates, the map is shown correctly. When I try to edit them, the search results are not appearing.

It seems that the autocomplete will not work correctly?
Does someone have any idea to handle this?

ps: installed via composter, all needed modules are in "modules/contrib" folder
