I am using the module Smart Date together with Full Calendar View to display my events, most of which are recurring. My problem is that on the front page I want to display only the List (Year) view of the next 5 upcoming events, but I have no way of differentiating between each instance of a recurring event. If one of my filter criteria is met for one instance of the recurring event, every instance of the recurring event gets displayed even if that means surpassing my maximum 5 items per page criteria. The maximum of 5 items works well for non-recurring dates, but not for recurring ones.
A way to limit the number of instances of a recurring event that gets displayed in Full Calendar View so that I can choose to display only a maximum of 5 events in the List (Year) view. Maybe give each recurring instance an index so that I atleast can limit how many instances get displayed.
