Edit button does not work for select element

Problem/Motivation

The >edit content< button does nothing if the widget of the correspondending reference field is set to select menu.

Steps to reproduce

1. Add a reference field to content type A to B having field widget "select menu"
2. Create content of type B
3. Create content of type A, select to reference b and try to use the edit button below the select menu.

Proposed resolution

The form should open to edit B.
