It would be a great help if it was possible to import and export custom tokens through Drupals core Synchronize feature. It is currently possible to sync the token types but not the tokens themselves.
admin/config/development/configuration/single/export - Under configuration type, only Custom Token Type is listed, not the tokens themselves.
To allow custom tokens to be saved into configuration.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
Tokens are content, not config. For that reason they are not exportable through config export. That's by design.
Maybe contrib modules help to export content entities like this. Please help documenting that in the README.md via MR.
