Looks like @pwolanin has already advanced this idea into a module! https://www.drupal.org/project/ocf_integration/ β
We've been talking to @pwolanin and some other folks in #event-organizers about pooling resources using https://opencollective.com/funding-tools and our #funding channel for collaboration.
Curious to hear from @liberatr and others interested in this use case. Does it seem like this new module accommodates the use case outlined here? Does pooling resources seem like a good idea?
Also should point out that π± Open Collective integration Active could serve as an umbrella issue.

Beware that Opencollective doesn't actually redirect the user at the end - they give them a link to optionally click on.
So, you need to either collect the evens using webhooks or poll the transactions

@pwolanin Thanks for chiming in!
I'm assuming what @daggerhart was asking about in Open Collective Slack is related?
I'm having trouble using the &redirect url parameter for visitors buying tickets on OC. It doesn't seem to work if the ticket has a price. Specifically, I've been using a variable priced ticket.
If the ticket price is $0, the redirect happens (after the visitor confirms they want to redirect).
If the ticket price is $1, no redirect happens.In addition to suggesting we pool Drupal resources, I'd be happy to surface related Open Collective issues in Open Collective's Slack. So filing an issue https://github.com/opencollective/opencollective/issues/new/choose would be a good start if one doesn't exist already.

This is a bit out of scope for the Funding module, but is a perfect thread for the Open Collective β modules. They are greatly inspired by @pwolanin's work on Open Collective Events Integration β module, and I'd love to collaborate more on getting OC events management into Drupal.
Moving this issue to Open Collective module's queue for now.
