After removing the module with Drush as follows, my block and CSS/JS configuration was deleted.
vendor/bin/drush un context
composer remove drupal/context
My block configuration in /admin/structure/block was re-setted, I had to add all blocks anew.
All of my CSS/JS added with Asset Injector → was deleted (the Asset Injector syllables were deleted).
The good thing is that I had only about 7 blocks to re-configure and a very small CSS syllable (of about 50 lines) and had full backup of the JavaScript so I quickly recovered everything but such massive deletion can be very disturbing for owners of websites much larger than my own website.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
I think this is most likely a Drush issue not warning you about deleted configs.
I believe the core Drupal UI should warn you about configs that will be deleted/modified as part of an uninstall if they've been added as a dependency.
