The language detection doesn't work correctly when we have and Admin language detection enabled for the interface. Here are the rules I have:

My URL structure is example.com/us/en or example.com/us/es. My default langue is EN.
It doesn't load the correct language on the /us/es/node/123/edit page for the content, it just redirects to the default language /us/en/node/123/edit.
And on the node view /us/es/node-alias it returns 404.

I spent hours debugging to understand what's the issue and eventually I figured out that the problem is that language_url negotiation missing the country-path-language-url implementation. Here is the related issue → .

I just updated your changes to be compatible with the lates8.x-1.x dev branch. The changes seems to work fine and they will be part of the next "stable" release.
