Problem/Motivation

Challenge

Burndown → strength is Kanban board and related actions. Gitea strength is Git versionning. The challenge is that Burndown and Gitea are presently not integrated. In turn, it's both challenging and slow to go back and forth between Burndown and Gitea. To do frequent actions. Such as, but not limited to, editing the status of tickets.

User Stories

  • As a user of Burndown, I need to somehow being able to easily and quickly go back and forth between Burndown and Gitea' tickets/issues.
  • As a user of Burndown, I need to somehow being able to trigger frequently use operations in Gitea' tickets/issues. Such as, but not limited to, while using Burndown, changing the status of a Gitea ticket. For example, from To do, to In progress status.

Below is the same suggestion as above. But with details if you're interested in those.

By "integration" I mean, but not limited to, somehow connect Burndown with Gitea tickets/issues. So that it's easy and quick to go back and forth between Burndown and Gitea.

Any volunteer for a patch? Both me and the Ubertus.org team would be happy, as volunteer, to contribute testing and documentation, if needed.

    For those interested to contribute to this ticket/issue, in late 2022, Gitea was forked to https://forgejo.org I updated this ticket title accordingly.

    For those not familiar with Forgejo, it has stronger privacy and security than Gitea. Simply because its code is control by a non-profit organization. Which value people above money. In comparison, starting in 2022, Gitea's code is control by a corporation. Which, according to its behaviors, value money above people.
