After installation of this module all of my compare method selectors on taxonomy fields have changed.

In that screenshot, the ID field has the correct dropdown selector while the object type, a taxonomy field, now has the radio buttons for the selector. There is no setting to disable it.
Install the module.
Look at an existing taxonomy field filter where there is an exposed operator.
Supply a setting for the behavior, or rescope the form element rewrite to only look for taxonomy fields.
