Non Clickable Menu Headings?

What solution are we trying to achieve?

We are trying to achieve the seamless transition from non-clickable menu. In other words, we want text on the menu as a heading, rather than as a clickable link.

What is the outcome?

None of our solutions are working. The end result is always that menu items are always clickable.

What did we try?

We installed Menu Link Attributes module [ https://www.drupal.org/project/menu_link_attributes] β†’ & Enabled it.

We had added nolinks class with custom css properties & added it to codebase.

We had configured the nolinks class as attributes for the one of the non-clickable menu for the Verification search page.

What errors did you get?

We are not able to get the expected behavior of non-clickable class.

Below is the image and I have pointed out the menu which should be non-clickable, but when I hit on it, the no-link is not applying for it. I’m also including the screenshot on how I applied the no-link class for this menu.
