On month calendar view, if the event end time is after 7.00 PM then the event is rolled over to next day. If the event ends before 6.59 PM then it doesn't gets rolled over. Our site default time zone is Chicago, which is UTC/GMT -5 hours offset.
It seems that the issue has to do with Calendar not respecting the system’s timezone settings - I changed the time zone on our site to UTC but still the events got rolled over to next day with 7.00 PM as cut off.
The events are of content type event which has Eventdate field of Date range type which holds the event date and time.

Today tried to apply this patch and couldn't. However I see this fix already in 8.x-2.x-dev.
this patch doesnt work on calendar 8.x-1.x-dev and i dont see any 8x-2-dev
