TB MegaMenu error: Post was missing the following information: menu_config

I have just installed this module and went to create my first mega menu. I began following the documentation here: https://www.drupal.org/docs/contributed-modules/the-better-mega-menu/how... →

1. Created a new Drupal Menu in admin/structure/menu
2. Created a new mega menu in admin/structure/tb-megamenu
3. Left settings default and clicked the green Save button
3. A red pop-up error said "TB MegaMenu error: Post was missing the following information: menu_config"

What does this error mean and how can I resolve it? I am on Drupal 9.3.16 and tb_megamenu 8.x-1.7

TB Megamenu version - 8.x-1.7

For me, this error happen when the menu is empty.
Adding 1 menu item doesn't show the error anymore.

Using Drupal 10.2.2 with 3.0@alpha

I can see what we can do about error handling for this, but ... the mega menu does expect that you would have at least one menu item available before using.
