Noting that this issue may be related/may resolve the issue of the hardcoded basic_html text format, at least when performing imports: 🐛 Import does not set default value for abstract text format Needs review .
After updating to 2.0.0-beta2 I noticed the following log message in the dblog: Disabled text format: basic_html. I assume this is explained by the abstract fields being converted to Text (formatted, long) (bibcite_entity_update_8028). However, I disabled the basic_html text format on our site and it's no longer available...
Not sure if this can be fixed somehow, but for those who encounter this problem I followed the comment below to re-enable the disabled text format which fixes this issue:
